Ed Timpson joined QinetiQ in 2020 after 11 years serving within the Royal Navy as a Weapons Engineering Officer (Submarines) throughout plenty of ranks. Becoming a member of QinetiQ Goal Techniques as a Venture Engineer and in addition managing the {Hardware} workforce, he had success in growing new capabilities for the Banshee household of UAS. He then moved into future techniques inside QinetiQ as a Principal Techniques Engineer specialising in advanced trials and experimentation of uncrewed autos. He now heads up the Robotics and Autonomous Techniques functionality inside QinetiQ UK.
